Benefits of the Hanmi Workshops
This is a unique opportunity to receive the teachings that were once restricted to initiated disciples only. The Masters of Hanmi brought the ancient spiritual wisdom of Buddhism to China and combined the essence of the teaching with Confucianism and Taoism. The spiritual healing techniques in these workshops were developed by these ancient Masters and have been passed down the lineage from one Enlightened Master to the next; all techniques were transmitted by Living Buddha Dechan Jueren, the 49th Master of the Hanmi Lineage.
The Four Foundation Meditations
Open to the public. No prerequisite.
The practitioner develops purity and stillness of being, which brings the body under the complete influence of the mind. When the mind is in complete stillness, the body will not change as the environment changes. Practice the Outer Qi Generating and Releasing dharma for self-healing and to cultivate the ability to heal others. Learn to adapt to extreme weather with the body warming and cooling meditation techniques.
The first state of Chan (Zen, or Dhyana) meditation. Learn how to ‘enter into state’ by eliminating the resisting mind through the practice of Guided Calming, Body Relaxation, Mind Relaxation, and Mind Transcendence.
The second state of Chan meditation. Learn to ‘firm the seed’ through the state of motion and stillness, being and non-being, called ‘Dhyana’. Contains the Interflow of the Four Links, the Simultaneous Rotation of the Five Wheels, the Illumination of the Nine Suns, and the Observation of One Unified Body.
The fourth state of Chan Meditation. Attain direct knowledge and insight into the ineffable using the Eight Word Heart Dharma. Tranquil Contemplation, or Diamond Yoga Method: Calm, Null, Sink, and Fall. Transcendental Meditation, the main content of Dhyana cultivation: Chan, Din, Know, and Wisdom/Insight.
Prajña Akasagarbha Dharma
Foundation Workshop. Open to the public. No prerequisite.
Prajña Akasagarbha is the dharma practice attained by Akasagarbha bodhisattva. According to Buddhist tradition, Akasagarbha bodhisattva practiced this particular meditation, with these particular movements to attain to enlightenment.
In this workshop, you will receive the complete transmission of Prajña Akasagarbha, the 16 Mudras, (body movement) corresponding visualisations and the Sanskrit version of Akasagarbha’s mantra. This is a slow moving standing meditation.
Practice to attain wealth, spiritual and material, self spiritual healing, and feel the motions of the heavenly bodies. Attain the wisdom hidden in the womb of space.
To be able to help heal and alleviate others of their illness and disasters,
you must have a strong body and mental toughness, unaffected by obstacles or the conditions of the environment.
Only then will you have the energy and strength to free others from their suffering.

Medicine Buddha Dharma Workshop
The Medicine Master Lapis Lazuli Light King Buddha Extinguishing Disaster and Prolonging Life Dharma is for spiritual healing, protection, and prevention of illness and disease, as well as for extinguishing disaster, extending life, and bringing forth good luck.
In this workshop, you will receive an Abhisheka Empowerment (pouring of holy water on your crown) which will enable you to successfully practice the Medicine Buddha Healing Dharma. This very powerful Dharma practice includes learning the Sanskrit version of the Medicine Buddha Mantra, along with the accompanying mudra (hand gesture) and visualization.
Besides doing this practice for your own self-cultivation, healing and protection, you will also learn a related group healing technique for others. Historically in Asia, plagues and epidemics were known to ravage populations from time to time, and through their great compassion and wisdom, Buddhist Masters developed these spiritual healing methods for use on large numbers of people.
Our presentation of the Medicine Buddha Dharma is a unique teaching of the Hanmi Esoteric School of Buddhism. This practice was formerly offered only to advanced, initiated disciples of a spiritual master after several years of preparation. It is now being offered to the general public, due to the great need for more people to learn how to heal themselves and others, using primarily spiritual techniques.
Workshop
Open to the public. No prerequisite.
During the second half of the workshop, you will learn simple but effective techniques for purifying air, water and food. You should be able to immediately taste the difference in the food and water which you bless.
If you already have a healing practice the Abhisheka Empowerment will greatly enhance your present healing abilities, as well as your capacity to perform any of your other practices.
The sanskrit name of the Medicine Buddha is Bhaisajyaraja. The Chinese call him Yao Shi Fo, the Tibetans Sangye Menla, and the Japanese Yakushi. He is a great Master who made many vows to alleviate the suffering of all beings.
Yellow Jambhala Wealth & Prosperity Dharma
Yellow Jambhala extinguishes the obstacle of poverty and generates abundance. Jambhala practice can help a practitioner to attain material wealth, but the real wealth is merit, virtue, spiritual attainment, wisdom, and accomplishment of siddhis.
In this workshop, you will receive an Abhisheka Empowerment (pouring of holy water on your crown) which will enable you to successfully practice the Yellow Jambhala and Ask-For-Wealth Dharmas. This very powerful ritual wealth Dharma practice includes learning the Sanskrit version of wealth mantras, along with the accompanying mudras (hand gestures) and visualizations.
You will learn to purify karmic obstacles that cause lack of abundance and to generate wealth, prosperity, and success in all your endeavors. You will also learn to set up an altar to create an empowered sacred practice space, or mandala, in your own home.
‘Embodiment of the precious treasure of prosperity, Lord of the wealth of the yakshas, Protector of the northern direction, Jambhala. Homage and praise to the giver of supreme siddhi. The precious use of wish fulfilling jems, Fulfills the hopes of all beings. Without effort or exertion, May all their wishes be realized.’ —Tibetan praise to Jambhala
2-day Workshop
Open to the public. No prerequisite.
Also known as Dzambhala, Dzambala,
Zambala, or Jambala.
Living Buddha Dechan Jueren
Excerpt from transcripts, 2003
“Poverty is what is considered an evil obstacle. If someone has nothing to eat and can’t even survive he won’t have energy to practice dharma.”
“…to increase prosperity is the first guardian dharma.”
“First you must resolve the problems of your existence before you can resolve the issues of your heart and mind. This is very logical and practical.”
“Even though this is wealth dharma this does not mean you can pick up golden bills off the ground. Once you practice well your life changes, the path to wealth opens up, and there will be fewer obstacles in your career. You’ll feel less stressed. When doing business you will be focused… How can you reach that stage where you will have a successful career and wealth? First you must practice the right virtue. Only the one with the right virtue can carry all this luck.”
