Hanmi Dharma Rites

One of the greatest services Dari Rulai Temple offers the community is to conduct dharma rites. A Dharma Rite is a Buddhist ritual prayer ceremony where a group of esoteric practitioners gathers together and prays for a common goal. A group of practitioners who have experience working together with advanced states of consciousness can overcome an obstacle with relative ease that would be insurmountable for one person alone. Dari Rulai Temple makes these Dharma Rites available to the worldwide community, there is no need to attend in person.

We offer exclusive ceremonies for your greatest benefit. VIEW our Dharma Rites

Why Do People Request Dharma Rites?

Most commonly we do Dharma Rites to help people overcome obstacles they are having with health, wealth, and luck. It is also common for people to request a Dharma Rite for a deceased relative. Sometimes Dharma Rites are held to celebrate a special occasion, like a holiday, or birthday, or simply to pray for world peace.

Abortion (Unborn Child)

According to the wisdom of the sages of the far East, the moment of conception, when the sperm pierces the egg, it is like a contract, the spirit is there waiting for its body to be born. Thus, abortion is a heavy karma, not to be taken lightly…it can cause all kinds of emotional, spiritual or even physical problems for both, the father and mother.

  • There are many opinions and points of view on the abortion issue. I remember when I was younger, having the opinion that whatever happens to a woman’s body is her business, and abortion should be up to her. Her body, her business. Pro-Choice.

The Pro-Life view is that abortion takes the life of a defenseless human being and is morally wrong.

In some countries abortion is not only legal, but is mandatory under certain conditions. Other countries will not allow abortion under any circumstances, even for rape victims or to save the life of the mother.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time under the direction and guidance of my enlightened Guru, Living Buddha Dechan Jueren. As an awakened man, my Master was able to see the reality of the abortion situation, unlike just about everyone who has to base opinion on belief systems or moral view.

I remember one time when a woman came into the temple to receive spiritual healing for a debilitating neck problem, Master Yu told her that she had a baby ghost wrapped around her neck. Other times, people came to ask for help with their problems, and Master told some of them that the cause of their woes was an abortion.

According to the wisdom of the sages of the far East, the moment of conception, when the sperm pierces the egg, it is like a contract. There is a spirit waiting for that body to be born. Even though the spirit doesn’t completely enter until the baby takes its first breath, it is there waiting for its body to be born.

When abortion happens, the baby’s body is destroyed before it takes its first breath, the spirit of that unborn child has nowhere to go. It cannot go back where it came from, and it cannot be here without a body. So the unborn baby spirit will attach to the parents, causing all kinds of emotional, spiritual, or even physical problems.

Abortion is a heavy karma, not one to be taken lightly. It can change the trajectory of a persons life for the worse. Most people will not be able to rectify this problem on their own.

Many women who have had an abortion done did not fully understand the cause and effect of what they were doing. Maybe they went ahead with it because of family pressure or a government program supported it and even paid for it, or perhaps just because of ignorance or desperation.

The Dari Rulai Temple offers help and spiritual healing for those who have committed abortion. We conduct a 7-day prayer ritual to assist the deceased for the unborn child to comfort the spirit and pray for a good rebirth, as well as spiritual healing for the mother and father.

It dawned on me that the young man in my dream the night before was the soul who would have been my daughter’s older sibling, he was angry!
  • This dharma rite was for two pregnancies that took place in my twenties, I am now sixty.

Getting the information ready for the temple was the first step which allowed me to start thinking back and reflecting on these situations, my role and responsibility in creating them. To be honest, I was a bit nervous before the rite begun and I felt as I was going to deal with something big, yet I felt it was going to be alright.

Because of time differences—it was 4:00 AM when the rite was performed—I had no telephone nor internet access to join the ceremony from where I was staying that week.

On day 1, I dreamed I was clearing my grandmother’s house (she had had several abortions herself).

On day 2, I dreamed I gave something away and felt I needed to clear my space. Part 2 of the dream a young man attacked my daughter and I managed to get him to leave although he looked fearless and threatening. I woke up at 3:00 AM from intense pain in my sacrum. I started asking for forgiveness and I was told how much our lack of consideration and respect for the child as a being had been damaging. I felt deep sadness from this child and I apologized for how we had behaved. The pain receded for a while.

The following night I woke up at 3:00 AM again. No clear dream but it dawned on me that the young man in my dream the night before was the soul who would have been my daughter’s older sibling, he was angry. I felt so sorry and asked for forgiveness.

Days 4 to 7, I started to feel better.

By the end of the rite the pain had completely gone away. It has been a couple of weeks now and I feel I can be fully involved in the present with a much greater respect for life.
